This institute was started as ST.Stephen’S ITC Kattanam on 1981 under the management of ST.Stephen’S Orthodox Syrian Church (Kattanam Valiyapally).Institute was renamed as St.Stephen’s Private Industrial Training Institute DGE&T -19(5)/2011-CD Dated 21st March 2011.
Permanent Affiliation to NCVT granted by Director of Training and Secretary NCVT to the trade FITTER (2 Units one in each Shift ) Vide letter No.DGET-6(9)/85-TC dated 3/1/86 communicated vide No.c2/18493/87(80) dated 3/10/87 by Department of Industrial Training, Thycaud , TVM -14, kerala state.
Permanent affiliation of NCVT for ELECTRICIAN (2 units,one in each shift)granted vide No.DGET-6/9/3582-TC dated 5/3/87 by Director General of Employment and Training , Ministry of labours, Govt of India , New Delhi.
The Institute has completed 40 years in its glorious service to society .
